150 Hours for Certification as Food Addiction Professional
REQUIREMENTS:

  • Examination from the Food Abuse and Dependence Counselor workbook (open book exam) The workbook is set up electronically on the Infact School Members site.
  • Participation in a study group (suggested that the group meet on a regular basis over the course of the seminar)
  • Project presentation (estimated 30 minutes per student)
  • Attendance no less than 80%
  • Assignments (to be worked with the student group and brought to the Saturday lesson time)

SUBJECTS:

  • (40 Hours) The Food Abuse and Dependence Counselor Workbook; 12 criteria for food addiction counseling.
  • (20 Hours) Program Planning I – The biological part of the disease:  Abstinence and food plans.
  • (40 Hours) Program Planning II – Treatment for Food Addiction.  Addressing the denial, emotions, trauma and recovery plans of action.
  • (10 Hours) The Science of Food Addictions.
  • (4 Hours) Ways of practicing as Food Addiction Professional.
  • (6 Hours)
  • Student groups and student project presentations.
