About Esther Helga Gudmundsdottir MSc.

Founder and Director of the INFACT School, Esther Helga is a global pioneer in the field of Addiction Model for food addiction counseling and treatment. A former opera singer and teacher, her personal recovery through a twelve-step program inspired her to dedicate her life to helping others struggling with food addiction.

Recognizing the need for professional education in this field, she later founded the International School for Food Addiction Counseling and Treatment (INFACT), the first of its kind to train professionals in this specialized area.
Esther is a certified addiction counselor, hypnotherapist, and clinical supervisor with numerous international credentials. She also served as the Executive Director and Chair of the Food Addiction Institute (FAI), an organization dedicated to supporting food addicts worldwide.
